The hotel has a charming colonial vibe with beautiful tiles giving it a unique character. The little swimming pool was a great spot to relax after exploring the area. I appreciated the helpful doorman who assisted with our luggage, and the breakfast served in the central patio was a delightful way to start the day. Being just a short walk from the malecon, I found it easy to immerse myself in the local culture, especially visiting the nearby Museo Arqueologico del Camino Real.

My room was near the pool area, so privacy was an issue since it was easy for others to see in. The shower was just okay, and I encountered some noise from nearby activities, disrupting the expected tranquility. Also, finding the property via car was slightly tricky due to narrow roads in the area.

In a charming historic building with ample greenery, the spacious accommodations were a highlight. A delicious breakfast featuring waffles and other options started the day on a great note. However, the room lacked a mini fridge, which would have enhanced convenience, and the pool area seemed insufficiently sized for the number of guests. Additionally, noise from live music in the nearby plaza permeated the walls, disrupting relaxation.

I stayed for 1 night in a Standard Room. The decor was charming and felt like stepping back in time. My room was clean, but it was a bit cramped and didn't have any windows to the outside. The mattress was decent, but could use some upgrading for comfort. The bathroom had nice amenities, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, so that was a win!

Couple looking for charm
The hotel is an old colonial building which felt like stepping into a time capsule. The staff were genuinely friendly, helping us score the online price deal at $48, which was a sweet surprise! We enjoyed the spacious room with beautiful, high ceilings that made us feel like royalty, and the breakfast offered was just perfect to power us through our daily excursions.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but considering the charm and service it was still acceptable.
